When the supply to normal lighting of premises fails, emergency lighting (or escape lighting) may be required. It plays an important role in the safe exit of people and it is therefore crucial that it is installed and maintained correctly.
There are two types, Maintained (lamps operate continuously) and Non-Maintained (lamps operate when normal supply fails)and we are able to help you with the following services:
Consultation We recognise the importance of giving clients the right advice on the type of lighting system they need for their business, as well as guidance on their correct application.
Planning Plans are prepared to show the layout of the building and all existing/proposed escape routes with any possible obstructions identified.
Installation We supply and install a range of BS 5266 approved emergency lighting systems and after we've installed a system, a completion certificate is issued.
Maintenance Needs carrying out on a regular basis with results recorded in a log book. We can help customers set up a record system to ensure they meet all requirements.
Testing and Inspection Emergency lighting needs to be tested on a regular basis and our complete testing and inspection service complies with BS 5266.
